Skin Rejuvenation

Microdermabrasion Skin Perfection System

Microdermabrasion is sometimes called the “lunch time peel”. It is a non-invasive process of using diamond heads that gently yet effectively abrades layers of surface dead and damaged skin cells. Each person’s skin reacts very differently to microdermabrasion, so the first treatment is done at a very moderate level so that we may see how an individual skin responds. Your skin may or may not be red and feel like it’s wind burnt for up to 24 hours. From day 2-5 the skin may become tight and dry and a light peeling may occur, then from day 5-10 the skin becomes luminous, more hydrated and healthier looking and on completion with a course of procedures - problem free. Speak to us about your aesthetic goal and we can advise you on a program that suits your skin condition.

Permanent Hair Removal

Electrolysis

It is a permanent and very safe way for removal of unwanted superfluous hairs that is performed by a qualified and experienced electrologist. A fine filament, no thicker than a hair, is inserted into the follicle, which is the natural opening in the skin that contains the hair. The heat applied to the filament coagulates and decomposes the papilla, which is the source of nourishment to the hair. Your electrologist will ensure that the treatment is as comfortable as possible. Together you decide the timing and intensity of your treatments. Commitment is important in electrolysis for it ensures the results that you like will be achieved. Ask us for an information leaflet or speak to us about it.

SKIN THERAPY

Your skin is alive. The skin renews itself every 30 days.

The epidermis is composed of approximately 30 superposed layers of cells. Every day, a new generation of cells is produced by the basal layer, which means that the epidermis is entirely renewed in approximately 30 days. Consequently, Guinot face treatments are programmed for maximum duration for at least one month. At night, the skin repairs itself. Night time is when the skin is repaired. This is when blood micro-circulation increases both the assimilation of active ingredients and cellular activity. Night time is the best time to apply a serum or cream. During the day, the skin needs protection to be more beautiful. The skin’s basic function is protection. During the day, it shields against solar UV aggressions, dehydration, friction, wind and tautness after washing or use of inappropriate skin care products. Skin products for the day are primarily protective moisturizing creams that strengthen tissue structures to help prevent loss of firmness. A radiant, healthy complexion depends on subcutaneous blood circulation. When the skin is relaxed and stress-free, micro-circulation brings oxygenated blood close to the surface of the skin. It adds a rosy and healthy glow to the complexion. We can delay the visible effects of aging. We can reduce the signs of aging and give the skin a younger appearance. Just as plants respond to nutrients and water, the skin can recharge its resources of energy and revitalizing substances that stimulate the cellular functions that make it look younger. Remember that age 30 is the time to prepare for the skin’s appearance at 40; age 40 is when to prepare for 50, and so on.

Treatments that are unique in the world:

Guinot was the first to create skincare products containing the 56 active biological ingredients fundamental to cellular life. In a hospital environment, these biological actives are able to create new skin in serious burn cases. Guinot research laboratories have optimized these latest techniques to enhance a visible youthfulness of the skin. Unique and revolutionary beauty treatments and care products.

You can count on Nest Skin, Body & Wellbeing as a Guinot salon for top-class care based on a unique institute approach to beauty. We are the place you’ll prefer for beautiful skin, where beauty is taken seriously.

BODY WELLBEING

Massage therapy

The holistic approach of physical touch that affects the different systems of the body — the muscular, skeletal, elimination, digestive, circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, lymphatic, emotional, mental and nervous systems is called Body Massage. It compasses many different techniques - structured, unstructured, stationary, or moving – tension, motion, or vibration. In general, massage therapists press, rub and manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body, often using their hands and fingers, but may use their forearms, elbows, or feet. In Swedish massage, long flowing strokes are applied. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibration/shaking. Massages can bring about immediate and long term benefits when received regularly.

Immediate benefits are:
• Releasing stress and tensions
• Increase circulation in blood bringing more oxygen to the organs and muscles
• Improves lymph circulation thereby removing toxins and excess tissue fluids
• Redistributes fatty tissues
• Nourish the skin with the oils being used
• Gives an overall feeling of wellbeing

Long term benefits with regular massages:
• Relieves aches and pains
• Reduces anxiety and signs of depression
• Improves muscular movements and flexibility
•Stimulates the production of endorphins that promotes relaxation
•Helps with cellular renewal and tissue repairs through increase in blood circulation

However, if you have any illness, it is always best to consult your Doctor first. Otherwise, massages are the way to better wellbeing!
